NTPC Renewable Energy Limited has secured the bid for 225 MW capacity in the tender floated by GUVNL (Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd) for procurement of power through competitive bidding process (followed by e-reverse auction) from 1125 MW Grid Connected Solar Photovoltaic Power Projects to be set up in GSECL’s RE Park at Khavda (GSECL Stage-3) without energy storage.

The reverse auction for the tender was conducted on 02nd March 2024 by GUVNL. The discovered tariff is ₹2.67/kWh and the energy generated shall be procured by GUVNL.

Presently, NTPC Group has 3.448 GW RE operational capacity with nearly 20 GW in pipeline. NTPC is committed to achieve 60 GW of Renewable Energy capacity by 2032.
